Abstract
The legal sector is considered conservative on technology issues; however, there are already great tools at work that have brought many benefits and advances for it. Lawyers must adapt their services and way of working to technology, hence the importance of the legaltech concept and the analysis of current legal market tools, which have allowed the digitization of products and services, as well as the digital transformation and innovation. Definitions of legaltech, digital transformation, technological innovation, big data, and blockchain will be provided in this article. The benefits, as well as the challenges of implementing the technology in the legal sector, will be discussed. The progress of different countries in the implementation of technological resources in the legal sector will be analyzed and eight softwares or legaltech start-ups will be analyzed and presented, and a description of the operation of each one will be provided, as well as the use of artificial intelligence and its regulation.
