Abstract

This article presents the results of a study validating the development of competencies and mature interpersonal relationships as integral components of the comprehensive development of students in Physics I and II at ULACIT. Using Chickering and Reisser's Seven Vectors Theory as the theoretical framework, a mixed-methods approach was implemented, combining qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the impact of various pedagogical strategies focused on two vectors such as the development of competence and mature interpersonal relationships The study addresses the issue of the lack of soft skill integration in higher education, proposing that a holistic approach is essential to prepare students for professional and personal challenges. The results show that students who participated in the pedagogical interventions demonstrated significant improvements in their critical thinking, teamwork, and interpersonal relationship management abilities. These conclusions suggest that integrating Chickering and Reisser's vectors into teaching not only enhances academic performance but also contributes to students' personal, academic and professional development.
